Forget Lord of the rings. Now it's Lord of the time!

Looking back to this time last year, many students were excitedly smashing their summer holiday, youngsters were busy with series of time-to-dance music festivals everywhere, officers were working flat out to close a more-successful-than-ever second quarter while even the least visited tropical beaches were rarely seen empty.
While we all had some thoughts about the future: next vacations, new fashion trends, economic strategies, fragile environment, nuclear wars, etc, it is ridiculously believed that we are less likely to visualize things we are not familiar with such as the pessimistic and hard-hitting global epidemic of MERS, SARS and Ebola. And almost no one was even ready to face another worldwide nightmare scenario like COVID-19, either. They came all of a sudden that most of the time we had nothing to prepare for.

What a shame that massive lockdown/ quarantine seems to be the only and most effective way to restrain the deadly virus from spreading out. This unprecedentedly slowed down the speedy life we used to live, disconnected us with one another and made us more homebody. Regardless of all the boredom and restriction in our own comfort homes, never before had I strongly felt the existence of TIME that real. If everything could freeze like what we see in Frozen, it must be this feeling that Time was not what mattered us as before. Forget Lord of the rings. Now it's Lord of time.

Oversleeping without messing up your morning, being rid of your daily rigid office routines, nah, that dream would never come true if your company had no correlation with the effects resulting from COVID-19 outbreak. It is sad to say that, however, the majority was suffering and the only advantage seemed the greater amount of time we had everyday. To all who had been fed up with working and stress, it might be enjoyable at first. But when it came to a longer-than-expected quarantine, it could turn into the scariest break ever that we might end up losing our recent job forever under the dreadful effects of the pandemic on our global economy.

So how do we use this one and only advantage before it runs out???
Firstly, we'd better thank God because at least we are still able to breathe in and out easily, not to battle the night in hospital with breathing machine like millions of people out there. Secondly, do anything to gain at least a sense of achievement day by day no matter whether it benefits you financially or not. It is more important that our time would not pass pointlessly. Thirdly, make sure you won't let yourself lag behind and/or you can survive at all costs. Fourthly, that's it. After all, it is not a part of evolution, it is high time we fought for life that we all appreciate.
